The storage palette or storage rack for passenger, SUV and utility tires provides unequaled versatility. It allows large quantity storage when the tires are intertwined and can also be used for the smallest quantities when the tires are on the rolling strip. It is possible to store 28 to 32 tires per rack when the latter are placed on the tread.

Thus, different types, size and tire brands can be stored on the same rack and each tire is easily accessible. By removing the removable bars, it is also possible to store 40 to 50 tires per rack when the latter are intertwined. The main advantage is to be able to store the maximum of tires per square foot (35 % more than when the tires are on the bearing strip).

However, it is preferable, even necessary, to insert the same type of tire in the rack when they are intertwined due to limited access to the bottom of the rack. Several tire distribution centers and other tire warehouses keep cages folded at the loading quay as well as open cages to quickly unload a truck of tires.
