The Steelman 61082 Wireless Chassisear® is a unique diagnostic device specially designed to identify the grinks, the rattling and any other annoying and wandering noise on the engine, the axles and the chassis of a vehicle.
Ideal for diagnosing fuel injectors, bearings, gears, suspensions, transmissions, differential and defective homocinetic joints, as well as under the hoods.
Operating like a high power wireless stethoscope for your car or truck, each of the 4 independent transmitters can be placed in a separate location around the vehicle using the clips and integrated magnets or self-aggregous nylon straps included. These then transmit to the receiver, allowing you to listen to the vehicle in standard operation to hear difficult, even impossible noise, to reproduce in a repair stand.
Each transmitter is assigned its own channel on the receiver and can be selected or mute individually to facilitate the identification of the location and the cause of a noise. With a 50-foot transmittering range, it can be used on all brands and models of light cars and trucks, as well as on a variety of larger vehicles.
The kit includes 4 transmitters, 1 receiver, 1 game of mini-listens, 4 microphone-tweezers, 12 nylon straps, 12 self-acting straps, 6 AA batteries, 16 AAA batteries, a storage pocket, a Identification note for the cushion location, instructions manual and a storage case molded by blowing.
